Observations and Stories

Foreword

As much as it dismays me to mention this, the introduction of AI to the space of writing is filled with caveats; containing both genuine and disingenuous intentions. While I do not agree with the use of AI in any sense as it pertains to the written word, I do feel that it may serve as a learning tool in the realm of learning how to become a better writer. Going forward, any stories that contain artificially generated revisions or ideas will be noted with the appropriate tag ‘/ai’ prior to the beginning of the story. While this is not meant to deter the reading of said story, it will serve as a placeholder where appropriate and function almost as a type of case study into how this technology may, for better or worse, assist a writer in the craft of writing.

/ai

Upon occasion, I am obliged to address an issue that causes me distress. The assimilation of artificial intelligence into the sphere of written language is fraught with caveats; it encompasses both sincere and duplicitous intentions. Though I do not endorse the use of AI in any manner related to the written word, I acknowledge its potential as a tool for learning the art of becoming a more proficient writer. In the future, all narratives featuring artificially generated revisions or ideas will carry the tag ‘ /ai,’ preceding the start of the story. This symbol is not intended to discourage the consumption of said story, but rather to serve as a marker and function almost as a case study into how this technology may aid, for better or worse, a writer in the craft of writing.
